Brakes

I've converted my '72 F100 to disks from a '73 F250, using all components off of the '73. After having done this I've looked at newer '94-'96 and have a question on the brake plumbing. The fronts instead of going through any kind of proportioning valve simply "T" near the left wheel and run to both sides. The rears do go through a proportioning valve of sorts but it looks more like an ABS control valve. My question is can I bypass the proportioning valve for the fronts? The newer setup reminds me what I envision an aftermarket proportioning valve setup to be.

Be careful in thinking here, the p-valves should be mounted directly to the port at the master cylinder if in fact there is no p-valve mounted externally.

TR, I'm getting in the corner with Phil, Tis interesting what you are doing, but the brakes on the newer truck, may be fed entirely different. I suggest that you stay with the system that you harvested from.

The brakes that you apply, could save your life.
