One of the nurseries by my parents house will give you all the free chicken poop you want with any plants you buy. It works well.

When I was growing up we raised chickens for food.
Great whites and Rhode Island reds.
Best tasting bird I have ever eaten and I regret that I cannot do the same today due to zoning laws where I live now.
