i did the breaks about two months ago the hex bolt that holds the pads in place snapped so i welded it in place do you know anywhere i can buy one of those hex bolts. thank you for your help
im also having a problem with getting the rear drums off the truck the drums are in pretty bad shape i tried the hammer method and the drums started to break off on the edges it appears their is a hub of some sort probaly for the axle that looks to be part of the drum they need to be done and i dont wanna pay alot of money to have someone else do it
the drum and hub are two different pieces, have you backed the shoes off yet, also did you try hitting the drum into the truck, it helps break the rust free
i tried to back the shoes off but when i try i cant find any adjuster screw i turn the back wheel as much as i can but no luck it does seem its one piece i scraped some of the paint off the hub and i couldnt see a space it looks solidwhen i pry it it looks like its stuck in the middle where the hub is
Pb blaster and a little propane torch. I'm not sure on yours but there were some that you had to pull the hub. some of the older ones in the 60's had 3 little screws holding it on.
