last step in correcting timing
1973 F250 mostly original, 390, C6. Were a pair now.
During low idle-misses and shakes vigorously.
Once I hit 20+ miles, the idle settles and it runs well.
I just now checked the wires and according to the forum, that all the wires are moved up a peg counter clockwise on the cap- 1 i'oclok.
When I move the wires to the correct position (move a space CW- so that 1 is at 1 O'clock, the truck won't start at all. Starter just spins.
Q/ I believe I have to pull the distributor and move it a tooth - but in which direction?
clockwise or counterclockwise.
Thanks for all the help I've found in this forum. If you had bumper stickers for the forum, I would get one. Easy.
