air conditioning???

hello i'm new to the bumpsides have always had dents. i've been thinkin about getting a bump and was wondering if they were offered with a/c and how rare is this? will i have trouble finding a bump with a/c?

A/C was dealer installed back to the Slicks, da Dummy can tell you what year factory was first offered.

Yes Factory A/C was offered, and yes it's very rare to find a Factory unit in good working order.

Being in California, I've seen more than a fair share that had Factory A/C but it's like finding a needle in a haystack, especially one that works.

The A/C unit bolts to the bottom of the dash and to the firewall on the passenger side in place of the standard heater. Most all of them have the vent grille for the evaporator kicked out from the passengers feet. The a/c unit takes up the passengers leg and foot room.

For the OEM look and not too bad of a price check out nostalgic air parts, or classic auto air has a lower profile all in one unit aswell.

The picture in the brochure is of a factory installed unit. However the dealer units is simular untill the 1973 year model.

thanks for the info guys. guess if i decide to get a bump it will have no air unless i get really lucky. thanks again

Check sothernrods.com I think... they have a setup that looks like the 65-66 mustang...
