Cargo/brake light

F350 super duty no cargo / brake light no power to light plug does anyone know where I should start maybe bad ground . Wiring goes above headliner , really dont want to take it down if there is somewhere else I should look first. Iterior lights work fine , no blown fuses . Thanks Dean

I'd say look at your book in the glove and find the fuse number, then look for a possible blown fuse..

Did you just check the plug or did you probe the wire also. I've had connections that look good but have a broken wire or corrosion built up. Just a thought.

I had a problem with the cargo light only. I took off the interior light lens over the rear window and you can access the outer wiring without taking the headliner down. I had a water leak and it would short out in there. It would pop the fuse under the dash. That fuse (at least on the '02's) was tied to the radio and interior lights. I wonder if your ground is corroded.
