Talking Another Gauge Question

It's me again. Okay, in looking at gauges most companies offer 2 different boost and EGT Temp gauges. So since I am not going to chip my truck for some time (but will eventually) do I get the 35psi boost & 2500 degree temp gauge or do I get the 35 psi boost & 1500 degree temp gauge? I don't plan on making enough mods to NEED a 60 psi boost gauge, but is it worth having? Thanks again.

Between this site and the C3VR Corvette site I have been learning a lot lately!! They're about the only 2 sites I visit daily. Both have fantastic people on them!

The 35 PSI and the 1500 degree pyro will be just fine for you rig.

On edit: you may opt for a 60 psi boost if you decided to heavily mod your rig.

Gauges are most accurate when the most frequent readings are near the middle. They are less accurate when reading at the extremes on the gauge. Thus, if what you seek is accuracy, there is no advantage to buying gauges with wider ranges unless your application requires that extended range.

Ditto.

BTW, do they even make pistons that can stand up to 2500 degrees!?! To the op, you should only get your truck up to 1200-1250 so 2500 is double too hot!!!
