It is a 1948 Ford F-1. I am actually 10 years into my project but life keeps getting in the way. I started with a bare frame and added an Industrial Chassis crossmember, so I have all Dodge Dakota running gear including a 1997 Magnum 318 with MPFI.

Welcome Rusty,

Sounds like a cool project. There's lots of us that have been struggling along with trying to build a truck while life does its best to keep us doing other things

Today it is raining and it is generally running about 40-45 degrees F. on the west coast.

If you look in my gallery there are a few pictures of my 1948 F-1 project and there is also one photograph of my old 1952 F-1 that I no longer have. regards Rusty-bits (Mark)

Welcome on board Mark I checked out your pictures and looks like you have a nice build going. The front end body looks like its in real nice shape. I would like to eventually get me a visor for my 56 I just plain like the way they look. Nice pictures

I have always known that I have had a problem (acording to my wife I have a few and I tend to agree with her) but it is good to know I am not alone. Regarding the front end looking in good shape, it is actually a Fairlane tilt front end that has not been painted yet as I am still in the mock up stage. Currently though I am working on the box sides, the bottoms were rotted off so I had some 16ga. bent and am replacing the bottom 2 inches.
