6637 mod in v10

6637 mod in v10

I got the 6637 filter in my 7.3 wandering if it would work in my v10, Has anone tried it?

Many people have asked the same question but I have yet to hear of one using it. I don't see why it wouldn't work though. It would be the same as many of the Open air aftermarket filters that don't have the box.

The catch in a v-10 is a way to still have the mass air meter. Depending on the year, it's part of the air filter assy. I don't know how aftermarket filters address this.

Yep that will be the issue, I was thinking it was further back on the intake tube itself but it's on the filter housing itself. The aftermarkets provide a spot to reattach the MAF sensor. I am sure with a bit of ingenuity you could make something up with PVC and attach the MAF into that and the filter on the end. However you may end up with something looking truly homemade depending on your fabrication skills.
