Do i need to take my coolant filter off if i bring the truck to the dealership for warranty work? Will they void my warranty? I have an oil leak and exhaust smell in the cab. Plus i keep getting code PO299. 2005 with 40000 miles.

No way to give you a 100% answer.... but my local Ford dealer has never even questioned it... except to ask "what is that"... then they say... "that's a great addition."
I also explain that it is for longevity purposes and only works as a small percentage (of fluid) by-pass system.
Generally, Ford and dealerships are worried about "performance parts" that increase HP and such and create extra pressures and heat... which is NOT good.
I think you will be fine.... heck my tech had never seen one before and really liked it... and the clean install.

You should have no problem warranty wise with the filter. If you do you don't want that dealer touching your truck anyway. Your P0299 code is over/under boost for the turbo. One code for either problem.

Good luck.
My mechanic hadn't seen it either and thought it was a great addition. He also likes the CCV re-route. He even put my fuel crossover line on for me while he had the turbo off cleaning it. But it all depends on your mechanic, my old one would void the warranty. If he doesnt know about it being on your vehicle, go by the dealership and ask to talk to him, dont mention that you have a problem. Ask him what he thinks of the idea of you putting one on and whether it will void the warranty or not.
