rough idle on 06

rough idle on 06
this started today 01/13/2010 at 4:30pm est
truck 2006 ford ranger sport super-cab
drive train automatic 4x2
engine v6 3L
problem: The engine started running rough while sitting at the stop light, continued to run rough every time i came to a stop. while driving the engine seemed to miss every once and a while. there are no code stopped at auto zone and had them run the computer for codes. while backing out of the parking space the truck stalled but fired back up still no code. when i got home i popped the hood and looked for a while (time now 8pm est) saw nothing until i bumped the intake hose and the truck stalled when i did that, restarted the truck and moved the intake hose it stalled again. the air filter is new the box is clean(no leaves or nests). what could be causing this issue I hope not a CAT because my truck has 3 of them

I saw a spark jump from the 2 wire to the exhaust manifold through a 1 inch gap of air. (about 5:30am est) that was causing the rough idle as soon as i changed the wire the idle was normal. when examining the wire at the top of the spark plug cap there was a little burn mark.
