I Do Believe its Turbo Time

As I rolled the old turbo around it looked like there was a part of the hydraulic actator valve rolling around in there which led to the bent vanes and broken shaft, don't know where else that part would have come from.
I don't know how you have the patience to work on those diesels stuffed into a van. My uncle has an E-350 with a 7.3L PSD and I helped him work on his turbo and after that I swore I would never own one. Of course, working on the turbos in my F-250 isn't a walk in the park either.
I know what you are saying about working on a diesel van, fortunately this one has been quite troublefree and all the bolts holding the exhaust together on the backside of the engine came apart easily so turbo could get snaked out that way.
In a quite short amount of time the broken turbo had passed about 2 gallons of oil into the exhaust system, what a mess and smoke show before all that dissapated
