I went to auto zone and I get a code of P0460 Fuel level sending unit condition. Poor electrical connection at the fuel level sending unit. Probable cause--failed fuel level sending unit. First question is can I run the truck like this for the next week or two? Next, I tried what the owners manual suggested refilled with good fuel and checked for water in filter, no issues. Next tank level indication responds correctly. A few weeks back the fuel level guage read empty one morning until the truck warmed up and worked fine since, I never suspected anything. Can someone tell me where the electrical connection for the fuel level sending unit is so I can check the connection. Thanks

I have had this code a few times. Once I took it to the dealer and they said it was due to sulfur build up. They said to add some chevron fuel additive and use high quality fuel. The fuel sender can also be bad. I always keep a log of when I fill up so I can just go by mileage of when I need to refuel.
