Has anyone used Northern Classic Trucks for any patch panels? I was just wondering about fit and customer service. It looks like they have everything I need, except rear cab corners. I don't see them listed anywhere. I sent an email to them, just waiting to hear back.
Anyone here replaced the front cab corner? I have rust that has eaten all the way to the bottom door hinge. Just wondering how hard it is or should I be looking for another cab. I have found a couple on the HAMB but they are 51/52.
What year is the truck you're working on? What kind of shape is the rest of your cab? Is it all solid except for the one cab corner, or is there a lot more extensive damage? If it's pretty far gone, a lot better cab should be fairly easily found. Cab mounts can be kinda tough to put on correctly if you have nothing to go by.
It is a '50. It will need pass. side front cab corner as nothing is left on the outside below the bottom hinge. It needs the bottom of that door jam. Both rear cab corners. The truck was my father-in-laws and I am redoing it for my son. I would love to save as much as I can but the truck sat for 30 years in the weather. The cab and grill and frame are all that is left now.
Sentimentality is all good and fine, but sometimes, you just can't save them all. That said, since I haven't seen it, or know what your fabrication comfort level is, is there a chance you can use one of the 51/2 cabs you found as a donor, and graft it together with your existing pieces?
I'm not sure what my comfort level is. This is my first rebuild. Me and my brother and my dad put floors in a 69 camaro. I would love to try to fix this cab, but if I could find one that doesn't need the work at a minimal cost, I would go that route. I have been trying to post some pics for a few days now with no luck.
