Another transmission
I have a 2005 v10 2wd ex and the first trans went at 1150 miles. Ford replaced with a (new one ?). Now at 42,000 the trans blows again. Anyone with the same problem? Ford claims the trans got stuck between first and reverse then ate itself up. thanx for your help.

I had an 05 F250 blow a trans backing a trailer up an incline. Snap ring slipped causing a hole in the core.
The 05 trucks had a bulletin for the snap ring failure. (don't know about the Ex) Not technically a recall so it wasn't covered. (had 110K on it). They issued a bulletin for those with a snow plow package from factory due to the constant forward reverse. They didn't recall or issue a bulliten to the rest of us since we don't use reverse very often I gues.
