Ford Forwarders

Okay I would like to try to start a poll about something I'm calling FORD Forwarders. I'm just starting here in Misery since this is where I live. I actually stole this idea from the AMC Eagle forum. What it is / how it would work is that if an member somewhere had something they needed to get to another member somewhere else, they could use FORD Forwarders. How it'd work is if say ( insert name of choice here ) in ( insert location of choice here ) had a fender he wanted to sell & ( insert other name of choice here ) in ( insert other location of choice here ) he ( or she, sorry ladies ) could post on FORD Forwarders ( a new section would have to be started for this ) I have a bumper in ??? that needs to go to ??? ( or the other person on the other end could say I've need a hood in ??? that I need in ??? ) & then if another member was going that direction & had the ability & room to get it there ( or part way ) could reply saying I'm going from ??? to ???. Then maybe someone else in the second location could get it farther or even there. This would be a strictly voluntary thing & it would be up to you to participate or not. Seems like it might be a way to help save shipping costs if you weren't in a hurry for the part & also a great way to meet people. Maybe you're on one end of the state & the part is on the other. Say your chapter has a meet / GTG in the middle. Something like that. Just wondering what everyone else thinks Good idea? No good idea? I'm going to run this till the end of the month & see what results I get.

I think it's a good idea...I've met a lot of good people from FTE, and this kind of "relay" would help various members meet eachother.

Thanks Boss Man. Still looking for some of those COOL FORD jammies like you got . Maybe we could start it here in Misery with a load of those out this way ! Seriously, glad you liked it. Like I said, I stole the idea from the AMC Eagle site. They call theirs " Bucket Brigade ".

Looks like another one of my bright ideas failed miserably. Including me, there have been a grand total of 4 votes on this & time is almost up. Guess nobody's interested.

Hey, it's a good idea got three of the four votes!!

Thankfully, I think that means that no one is in desperate need of anything right now...

If you think it'll work, I'll try some of the neighboring states & see what they think. Am planning a trip out toward Indy anyway in a couple weeks & already posted in the AMC Eagle place. Don't mind mixing parts, just have to keep it straight who gets what. No definite date yet, waiting for my taxes to come back & need a front brake job on Old Rusty, warped rotors. Plan on doing wheel bearings & seals, along with pads & rotors while I'm at it. I figure it's cheap insurance.

1OldFordMan, sound cool enough, as much craigslist shopping I do across Missouri count me in.

Anyone needing anything hauled within reason (but I do have 2 flat beds (16' and 25') and a 16' utility, from one place to another shoot me an IM.

Just offering to help out fellow FTE'ers, plus I got a ton of 73-79 parts and access to abunch more. Let me know, Rich
