My Dad just picked up his new 2010 F150, and absolutely loves it.
My question is- he wishes to Scotchguard the seats. Now, I remember when I had my 2004 with the gray cloth, the seats would stain if anything touched them, and if I Tuff-Stuff'd the seats, I had to clean the entire seat to avoid a splotchy appearance when it dried.
Are these new fabrics any better? I like him to be able to Scotchguard them, but not if it will wreak havoc with the fabric.
sweet truck! But you didn't mention what type, color interior it has... I don't know about the different interiors myself, but I'm sure the different colors, etc make a difference.
when I had my old 04 FX4 with light grey cloth, I had my dealer apply their interior protection package (I think it was Scotchguard) and I never had any staining issues with those seats in 5 years of ownership.
My '04 was notorious for water spots, and if you tried to clean the fabric, it would "ring" where it was wet- I had to wet the entire seat and let it dry so it would dry uniformly.
Sounds like they resolved it, I know they did a fabric upgrade...
