Story time....
I had someone helping me look for the oil leak under my truck (they were under it and I was inside the truck to turn it on and off). I fired the truck up and he happened to notice my starter moving really bad. Turns out two of my starter bolts were not there.... Just completely missing.... No telling how long they have been gone. I just know im lucky that I found it now and not when my starter decided to fall out.

how did the ring gear look on the flex plate? I've read in past posts where the bolts themselves will strip the threads in the mounting on the block due to so much vibration...Did the new bolts screw rite in or did you have to heli-coil them? just curious.
