Bad superchips programmer???? fuel pressure

So I pulled the programmer and it runs much smoother than it did programmed. But do you think it just doesnt have enough fuel pressure?? I will check it tomorrow, i used a stick style tire gauge and it jumped from 40 to 100 so I got a liquid filled one. WHat is the best way to check psi, at idle or revved up??? Thanks if you can help me out..

Idle is pretty much what everyone checks here.

60 PSI idle would be ideal.
The chip doesn't effect fuel pressure though, that's all done with a spring.

The chip controls the Oil Pressure.

Did you get a chip that was burned for your truck?

Auto/manual makes a diff, and other things as well.

i cant tell a difference with my superchips on as far as power goes. the tow safe feels just like the hi-performance setting. i do get a little better milage with it though so itll stay on until i get a dp-tuner. why did you take the tuner off? did it start to run bad or just diddnt want it on anymore? the reason im asking is if the tuner was already on the truck for a while and then it started to run bad- it wouldnt be the tuner. or did you just install the tuner and didnt like the way it ran?

Its just a superchips programmer, but the hesitation is still at 45 mph or if u just let off pedal for awhile and then accelerate but it is way worse when the programmer is on it. I tested fuel pressure and it is at 60 at idle.I should probably hook one in and read it while driving. Should I take it to my local guy that has a nice scanner. I also need to see if it has anymore codes.
