I hate to bring this post to the top again b/c I hate to bother people. NumberDummy, when you have spare time could you please decode the code I listed for the 9inch Ford rear-end? I don't know how to do it or if I even can without the books you have. I would really appreciate it.
WDM-AG2= Ford 3.3M capacity
6CB=Built 2nd week March 1976
3.00= 3.00:1 ratio, non-locking
9= 9" Ford
344D=manufacturing plant code
There are two possible seals for this axle depending on whether it has sealed ball bearings or tapered roller bearings on the axles.
C9AZ-1177-A 75-up F100-150 Sealed ball bearing 1 1/2" ID X 2 1/2" OD
D4AZ-1177-A " " Tapered roller bearing 1 55/64" ID X 3 9/64" OD
Thanks everybody that helps alot. I put this rear end in 4 yrs ago and never knew what year it was now I do. Those 3.00 gears come in handy for highway driving.

FYI: EOTZ1S177CA replaced EOTZ1177C which replaced C9AZ1177A.
WDM-AG2 = D6TZ4234D .. Axle Shaft-31 splines.
The 9 inch rear axle has two different parts lists: 88 & 91. Take the WDM-AG2 code, go to (in this case) parts list #88, look for the axle part number that matches WDM-AG2.
Then go to the rear axle ID chart (section 41, page 6), find the axleshaft part number (D6TZ4234D) and Voila! All the specs are listed.
When typing Ford part numbers into websites, REMOVE any spaces or hyphens.
