have you gotten used to this? my next project is the conversion kit from strutmaster. i don't want the drive quality to differ.
i really wish I could figure out how to disable the compressor without turning off the variable-assist steering. Other than that it rides as good if not better without any worry for leaks.
I am in the process of installing the 4wd kits from strutmaster on my 2001 Navigator. So you turn your air suspension switch on the passenger side off or is it on? Also fuse 109 helped your steering now that you pulled it. Is your check suspension light still on?

if the navigator is the same as the expedition then you want to pull the fuse and leave the passenger side switch on. This will disable the compressor while leaving the variable assist steering on.
Ok Thanks for the info, I will pull the fuse, I finished the rear install today the truck sits pretty good I also opted to just pull the buld on the check sus light. The instructions found here were exact and easy
I have a 97 4.6l, and my steering feels loose also. I have replaced the front shocks, and the steering box about 5 years ago. I was looking at the bushings for the upper control arms and they are cracked and they dont appear to be in very good condition. could all of these bushings be causing the loose feeling?

This should be a new thread.
Your problem could very well be the upper control arm bushings base on your description, the ball joints are probably worn out too.
