Hey all,
Got a great deal on a OEM Buick Enclave backup cam. I am going to cut it into the handle of an 2008 SD tailgate handle. The question is the 6 volts it takes. Is there any circuit on the fuse panel that is SWITCHED 6 volts? Or am I going to have to go the route of a DC-DC transformer or resistor stepdown method? Thanks! TT
I can't think of any 6v uses, but it does make me wonder how it's going to work on the monitor you've chosen. If 6v is your reference in the camera, and your monitor expects 12v reference, then it's not going to show much.
Sorry, a bit more info needed. I am currently running an AVIC D2 double din Navi. It only sees the reverse input from trans to shift to backup display on screen and a RCA input from whatever vid source. I am probably going to go with DC to DC trans...
