Hey all,I was looking at a build sheet that Ed-parts guy-sent me and on it, it says my spring ID is "YC35AM" front and rear.
Is this the code for my leaf springs?
Thanks.
That is the part number for the springs. The spring code will be R,S,T,X or any sort of letter like that. You can see what the weight rating for your springs are buy opening up the drivers door and looking at the little sticker. This will give you the weight and somewhere on the sticker it will say the spring codes. IIRC mine said UV or something like that.
With all that said, don't look at the door sticker on my truck bc that isn't the springs that are in it. I upgraded to slightly heavier springs. This could have happened on your truck also making the build sheet and the door sticker invalid. I am not sure if there is a way to get some sort of check off that you have heavier springs. The plow installer in my town wouldn't install a plow bc my door sticker was too light...
My truck is missing the sticker that goes on the doorjam. How can I find what springs my truck is equipped with. I know the springs have all been replaced, because there was a sticker wrapped around them when I got the truck, but I couldnt read what it said. If they were replaced with new springs of the original kind, how do I find out what they are without the door tag.
I find my self in the same boat. My stock V codes are sagging. I do not know how much stock replacements are, However a quick call to Deaver Spring revealed they build a X code replacement. Deaver has been a well known spring manufacturer so I think I be going that route instead of stock X codes. Seems like the price was around $400 plus shipping.
