i always bring up my starting issue i had a long time ago that every one was calling the starter solenoid. i replaced the solenoid, some wiring, neutral safety switch, and some fuses. It just wouldnt start like it was still in gear, i even spliced the wiring so i could start in any gear, still nothing and I was lost like never before. Finally i got on my back and looked up under the dash to find that my shift lever assembly was missing a bolt and it wasnt engaging park because there was too much free play. I remembered two weeks prior that a bolt has dropped on my foot while driving and so i pulled it out of the glove box and sure enough that was the one. Some red loctite and a few turns later it was fixed. All of the headache and money spend to find out that i just needed to turn a bolt. What a pain.
