I bought a 92 F350 that the guy had pulled the trans out of cause of problems, but in the procwss of getting the trans back in, i saw that 2 of the core plugs were gone, 1 above the starter doesnt look hard to replace and the other in the middle on the drivers side looks to be a problem with the motor mount. any one ever replaced or changed the plugs in the truck and can i just take out the motor mount to replace the drivers side ? what would cause them to come out ? There no water in the oil, but that could be cause it ran out before it had a chance to leak in.
hmm y did the guy pull the trans? was it trans problems or engine problems?
idk if u can put that one in with the engine in but i do know u can get some of those temporary ones and put them in and they will last long enough for u to find out if it has any major problems....

He told me that the trans was skiping 3rd gear. The truck is a 4 door and I had been wanting one for a long time, but is was a 2wd dually and I wanted a 4wd single wheel, so I converted it over found a trans on here and had t-case and dana 60 front. It wasnt really a hard swap just grinding all the rivets out of the 2wd brackets and drilling some new holes for the 4wd brackets.
