yeah i know and the builder was asking me if i wanted a roller or non roller block. he has them both so i was checking my options with the prices. what ere the benifits of the roller VS the non roller block???

The roller cam eliminates on of the largest sources of friction inside the motor so there is no need for cam breakin and a roller motor is a little more efficient as a result. There are also a much larger selection of over the counter EFI friendly cams available for this platform.. thanks to the popularity of the 5.0 Mustang, but the cam and lifters are much more expensive and a motor can make just as much power with a flat tappet cam so the benefits aren't free.
