A waste? You act like you're buying this for the Excursion. This thing is all about the stereo, if that ain't your thing, it's completely understandable, but to call a truck that won Best of Show at C.E.S. a waste is a bit of a stretch imo. When you see an F250 wrecker going down the road do you think to yourself "What a waste of a perfectly good F250"?
it's one of those "matter of opinion" hobby trucks. YES there is a lot of unneeded equipment for it to be considered a work vehicle, but it fully equipped to drive onto the street scene and be a head turner.
this goes back to the "lifted vs lowered" argument. there are die hard guys that the only truck they drive will get lifted, big tires, and bolt on power....... then there's die hard drop down, dub runners, that stuff a 28" tire/rim up under a fender and flatten out a truck....... it's all in personal taste and likes.
i look at that EX and look at the craftsmanship that went into all the equipment that installed. there's a LOT of hours tied up in that truck.
as for price........ i'm not running to the bank to throw myself in debt to drive it!
Looks like plenty of room for kids and gear. May as well be a dump truck...only seats 2 people.
It seats 4.
Wow, that custom fiberglass looks phenomenal. Without close up shots, or seeing it in person, the quality of custom work looks absolutely amazing.
It's definitely a niche vehicle, used for advertising and such, and not my cup of tea since I have no use for a vehicle like that, but great googly moogly that thing is nice!

Yes. I am buying for the Excursion. You really can't compare a Excursion to a Wrecker..Let me know if there's a F250 with 3rd row seatiing and the day you're able to put a Jerr-dan on a Excursion. OK, maybe not a waste, but I wouldn't park it infront of my office trying to draw attention for $45K. Would you serious spend that money on "THAT" ??? It has the state of the art system for that year and congrats for winning the Best of Show, and if that was mine... I'm sure that I would enjoy making myself deaf and the looks I would get. I'm 35yrs old and I've had the car with hydros/boomin' system and all that in my younger days, but now...I'm looking at it for the uses... Would I take grandma to the store in it? I guess it wouldn't matter since she can't hear, but I'm sure she would enjoy the vibes. The interior looks really nice without the system (for uses and me). I haveto admit, yes, it was put together with superior craftsmenship, BUT HOW WOULD YOU USE THAT!!!! Much love my eXcursion Brother. I feel better.
