Thumbs up got the new rig!

well ive been so busy with work i havent even had the chance to register, clean and have fun with this thing yet, workin 16 hours a day. so no picutres and videos yet sam lol but i will say this, this truck really moves!! a little to smokey for my liking, i feel like a jerk if i stab at the petal to pass someone. on the daily tune its very touchy and will roast the 285s in 3d. smoke setting, hold on!! NEEDS LADDER BARS, the wheel hop is terrible. i tossed my new 6637 in there and seald it. he did a...less than professional job on that....it was very loose and leaky.

this thing as no issue pegging 1200 degrees on the guage, post turbo. but i found the culprit! there is a missing bolt on the turbine side and some soot surounding it, my question is, do i have to remove the turbine wheel to take off the housing? i think the threads are bad and the bolt wont go back in and i have a replacement housing if needed.

for guages its got Glowshift with 8 different colors to choose from, stock green, travis' blue color haha and purples and yellows, more blues and what not. will peg a 30psi boost guage with no issue. only short blips, i dont want to rebuild this turbo yet. there is ZERO play in the turbo as well which is a plus. there is 152,7xx on the truck.

now for the clutch.... there is a SSSS sound when going threw gears 2-4, kind of liek a vibrating heat sheild or sheet metal, real thin. its driving me nuts, what the heck could it be!

what is the stock clutch rated for hp/tq wise????? might need a southbend or valair in the next couple thousand miles lol i have to keep this hting in stock becuase i dont want to smoke this wimpy clutch.

last thing im kind of worried about is, when shutting off the truck, it takes a good second longer to wind down once you turn the key, its not crisp like other powerstorkes ive driven and seen. theres no blowby, says my ccv mod, just a little haze like usual and the truck has zero smoke and it pulls like a tank! so i can rule out low compression, what gives?

all in all, its a great truck, very clean, needs myh touch with some clean up and exhaust, but the silver and purple works very nice. and the captains chairs are comfy

did some one say in my last thread that they could check my VIN number and get me a report? ive got the vin right here if they could help me out

heres the first video from this morning, sideways?? but thats my "dailey driver"... hah, ok. that setting is nuts. but thats a little more than 1/2 throttle. boost tached about 28 or 29 psi on a 4th gear pull.

That truck sounds like a dream come true.

Good job stabbin Travis with the blue guage comment. LOL

It sounds like your first mod to the new truck is an inter cooler. That will help keep your EGT's down. I am sure you know that though.

I like the video. Pegs that guage real fast.LOL

Matt- it's got I's from RDS and a TW those are the major power adders but other than that its got you typical mods.

Sam- he probably should throw a cooler in there but its got a leak at the turbo and I'm pretty sure that it also had some leaking up-pipe donuts aswell, but we wont know that for sure until he fixes the turbo.

i got my truck about 5 years ago and i was wondering if i could track down there is a remanufactor sticker on my engine.
is there any way to find the history?

thanks bud! figures i just delted the vin out of my phone... but i get out at 3 so ill try that, well heres some pictures for now. no smoke pics yet, wayyyyy to cold out and im not waiting for that pig to start up expecially with thoes craptastic batterys






















phones lens was cloudy from all the salt ick from my hands lol will get some videos later on today after my stack kit is going on the truck and doing a few other things like the 4x4 shifter and what not.

getting a new bumper in a few days aswell, that is driving me nuts!

Looks awesome cept for the wierd stack and billet grill.
I dont like billet grills. =\

I am jealous of your color combo also.
sonic blue is my favorite.

actually its a purple color lol it looks blue in the picture but its a purple blue color. my stacks from my last truck, the dual chrome aussies are going on. im not a fan of the single stack either

Nice truck. Think about installing a "Bumper Plug" for your Engine Heater if for no other reason than to keep the cord from being damaged.
