A gentleman who is an engineer for Ford, Adam Gryglak will be joining the site on Monday to answer some questions some of you may have about 2011 SuperDuty.
with all do respect you should ask him to take questions about the 08-10 models that people are driving now and that when they take them in for repair need to come back time after time untill fixed right.. in other words Fords Tech staff is not up to date with what they have to fix now let alone another new diesel that will push the 08-10 concerns farther down the line.. i hope im not out of line here, i dont think i am.
but there are still alot of Ford stores out there that are just figuring out all the 6.0l demons.. let alone the 6.4 secrets. heck i print off sheets from this site and take them into my tech to give them a heads up..how is that right..
come on ford time to invest in the guys that fix these things day in and day out..
thank god i got this site to fall back on for the real answer.. ford should hook there request line up to this site..
thanks for listening.. anybody else feel the same or am i way off base here, i dont mean to rain on anybodys parade but im doing my part of being loyal.. i bought another superduty even with the problems i had... now im going through it again?

What you have is a dealership level problem. All information necessary to repair these vehicles are at the techs fingertips. They can access all FMC manuals, wiring diagrams, tsbs, ssms, from any pc. THEY JUST HAVE TO WANT TO USE IT! Ford can only supply the necessary information, if they wont use it, theres nothing Ford can do. You can fill out the surveys to report your dealership, then Ford will "review" the problem.
Sorry Vloney but i have to dissagree with you here.
When corporate FORD promotes factory trained professional techs.. that is what ford says will perform service at your Ford dealership...
then if Corporate Ford sent them to FORD schooling and supplied them with all the nessasary Ford Tools as you say that are supplied at every dealership, at there finger tips why would it be the dealerships fault for the tech not to already know from school what to do?? I stand to be corrected but I dont believe its a dealership problem...
For example:.... there are still alot of Ford stores out there that are just figuring out all the 6.0l demons.. let alone the 6.4 secrets.
you give me 10 techs from 10 different Ford stores and ask them to answer the above example yes/no, and ill bet there are more yes than no.
Theres still a lot of Ford stores out there that believe that their IDS automatically updates.........they dont. How many of them dont go the extra step for updates to properly have access to all tsbs? Yes, I can access all materials needed to repair your vehicle from any PC (even yours).
If so here it is. Is the new 6.7L going to compete aginst the new 6.6L D max in the tug o war? Do you think the 6.7L would win? This sounds really cool even though I know thats not the best way to test the trucks but atleast you could still break the Chevy's IFS.
Why wont Ford focus on low cost bear bones trucks? I understand that the margins would be far less than on these luxury trucks build these days, but the volume would be huge imo. Call it the F100 and give it a small diesel option and a bear bones interior. Ford would sell millions of them. If Ford does not do it the Indians or Chinese will kill the US truck market when they start selling over here.
They do build "bare bones" trucks its called an XL. You can get them with no air, no power windows/locks, just a radio, vinyl seats, etc. I just wish they still had a manual trans option.
If you provide them with schooling, training, and easy access to any and all manuals, yet they still refuse to use them, what more can you do?
pay enough money so you can attract the top mechanics, then lose the ones who don't perform to standards!
just remember the old saying "pay peanuts-get monkeys"
