Front diff ran dry, whats happened?
Ive used 4x4 4 times now this winter, putting about 300 mi on in 4wd. Problem is i didnt know the diff was dry. I know, im an idiot. I know damage has been done, and I will need new parts, what im wondering is what all should I expect to replace? Bearings? ring/pinion? Spider gears? Thanks for any help, and lemme know if you think it would be cheaper to rebuild the axle, or just find a used one and swap it in? Truck has 78k on it by the way.
