i have a 1975 IH shortbed wide bed 4x2 with a 392 4bbl some sort of cam and flowmasters and a 4spd. deluxe interior with air.....and 85k original miles
truck came out of arizona. no rust. runs great.
but im toying with possibly selling it. and get another project, like a late 70's 4x4 ford or a duece an a half.. if it was 4x4 i'd probally keep it. its to rare for me to cut up to make into what i want.
it needs paint, but everything is there and works, even the original radio. i have to put the a/c back in it, somebody pulled it out, but its with the truck. body has little dings here and there, but nothing serious. bottom is clean...no leaks. burns nothing
what should i list it for? i dont even have an idea really what its worth, i've had offers from 4k all the way up to 10k. which i think is too high.
where would i even go about listing it? i'd love to have an old army 2.5ton.
anyone have any advice?
what i would let it go for an what somebody would pay are 2 diff things. so shoot in the dark, im just trying to kinda get an idea.
ha....i have close to 10 times that in mine. dang i'd even take alil loss on it. i traded a lifted wrangler for it.
if i cant get what i'd like i guess i'll keep it an restore it.
on edit, i looked at that one on ebay......and that one doesnt even come close to the shape mine is in. i'll try to get pics up tomorrow if you would care to see it.
Try contacting someone selling a 2.5 on Cl (I search for 6x6) and see if they are interested in swapping even. That would probably work better then a barter ad.
Looks like a nice old RenterNational. Remember a guy when I was growing up that had a Scout. Purple & white. Not sure if that was the factory color or not, the guy owned a body shop.
I have a bunch of old IH trucks, one of the m is a special limited edition adn it is still worth almost nothing. Just keep it, it could never be worth what you want for it.
i bought a 78 4x4 F150 anyways........sooo now i have 3 or 4 projects going.....eh screw it, lifes worth the challange
haha, well i had an offer for what i wanted for it. then the guy couldnt come up with the cash.....so ive decided to keep it and restore it after i get done with this one.
after ive been driving it more, it would be a shame to sell it. it drives as well as my dads 2001 F150 if not better.
Just for grins, can you say what he offered? It's hard if not impossible to get out of a vehicle what you put in. If it's functional, you can use it, and you can keep it running, drive on!
