I have a 2000 Navigator , are all the COP for the 5.4 litre the same? I have a bad skip, I am assuming its time to change the packs and plugs, I found a couple sets online for a couple hudred dollars but wanted to make sure I dont order the wrong ones. Thanks, Joe
they are diff.and once you get in there you are probably gonna find oil in the bores from the o-ring gaskets that go between the valve cover and head leaking.its a common problem and a pain to fix.
Thanks for the info, I am gonna get new COPs and Plugs this week and hopefully start on the monster next weekend, it really looks to be a bear to get to these under the Navigators hood. Also on the list is a new power steering pump. Steering is extremely hard when sitting still or low idle, it gets better with more RPMs but is still tough.
where are your coils at? are they in the middle of the valve cover then it's a DOHC if they are in your head between the intake and valve cover then it's a SOHC plus a DOHC is huge should be on your radiator cover
Looks as though the cops are right next to the injectors at the intake, does not look like they are in the valve cover. Just got the code checked and it is a cylinder 2 misfire, I belive that is the passenger side 2nd from front correct?
