MUTT TRUCK
I have a 1963 f100 4x4 w/390 from 63 Thunderbird it has aluminium bellhousing for the original 4speed truck tranny from what i dont know? it bolts to cross member like a Y block. the front mount they used Y block very badly. I would like to know is what ford used for motor mounts in 65,66 4x4's w/ 352's & did they have a special timing chain cover for the front mount. any info or history would be greatly appreciated.

The mounts you are describing sound like what is used in 2 1/2 and 5 ton trucks. They had the mounts under the bellhousing or on the sides and 1 single mount under the crank pulley. These required a special timing cover to accomodate this mount .I havent seen this setup in a pickup from the factory. I used this style when i swapped a blown 534 from a Louisville into my 77 Highboy and havent had any problems
