Low Idle at start up sometimes ( plus smog equipment question)
I have a 95 f-350 crew cab dually with a 460 and it has 240k miles on it. Once in a while when you go out to start it will crank fine and once it starts it idles at a stall rpm so you have to keep your foot on the accelerator to maintain around 900-1000k rpms sometimes after only a couple seconds you can hear the throttle pickup and the rpm go to around 1400 at which time you can remove you foot and it is idling fine. Other times it can take any length of time to catch. Weather was a thought as it seemed to happen when moist out or in colder weather 35 and below. However it happened on a warm day but a cold start with no rain.
2nd part
It has electric windows all the switches work and windows work great except in the morning the drivers window sticks when you press the button it goes down 1/2 a inch to maybe 3 inches have to press it multiple times to get it all the way down. Later in the day once it has warmed up goes down with just one click as it should.
3rd Part
Thinking of moving from Ramona Ca. which is in San Diego County to Bend, Or. There is a altitude difference of around 2300 ft with some of the mountains being even higher in the same area. Will I need to have the truck setup for this or should its stock setup be fine? Anyone from the Oregon area know if any of the smog equipment can be pulled off to enhance performance without effecting the brains of the truck? Will adding a true dual exhaust improve gas mileage will anything need to modified like the o2 sensor to make the dual exhaust perform as it should?
More question to come but will save for another post
