Arcing RFI problem
Hey all,
I have a 2005 F250 6.0L and it just started to make some arcing sounds every 5 to 15 seconds which is heard on the AM radio and my Ham HF rig from 530 kHz to 50 Mhz and probably higher. It starts off sounding like someone crinckling up paper then it goes into a ripping sound then it's gone for a few seconds to about 15 seconds. I found that this will happen with either the engine running and no engine, but the key in the on position. If the key is in hte acc. position it doesn't happen. Has anyone else had this happen? I also used a portable radio to see if the problem was induced throught the electrical system and found that it was being radiated.
