Engine Mods?

I want to start getting engine parts. I have the 400 6.6 in my 78 F150 4X4. I was looking online and it looks like there isnt a lot out there. I found a Weiand intake and a Holley 770 carb. I found Hooker Headers since i just riped of 1 of my duals driving thru the woods. (hunting season)

I would like to get some input on what you guys have that works and what doesnt work. I am not all that mechanicly inclinded, but would like to do the basics. The 2 barrel isnt cutting it.

Well you can first put a performance intake manifold and carb on your 400, and you can always put a K&N air filter on, there always good for slightly better intake flow, and exhaust headers, and a dual exhaust system with some performance mufflers like Magnaflow would help on the exhaust flow, and possibly you could upgrade your coil and spark plug wires, and possibly go to a MSD ignition system, including distributor, other than that, i can't really think of anything you can do performance wise, other than rebuilding the engine, and modifying it internally

Headers, intake and carb. Keep the carb down to 600-650cfm for a street application. Good tune up will help. Factory ignition should be good for this build.
