Close call on the cable, that could have ended badly!

Quite the plumbing job on the brakes. Are the two long brass hex pieces valves or just connectors?

That is an electric speedo trans, isn't it? is that some sort of converter on it? It's HUGE!

Looking very good!

Ross, The hex pieces are 10 psi residual valves as recommened by ECI. This is a drum -drum setup. The trans is a mechanical speedo but with a electric sender for my electric speedometer. Pete

I have the same residual valves on my dual master. Pete by far it's been harder for me to find an early T5 like yours, I just find it funny you have a desirable mechanical style speedo and converted it to a easier to find electric.

On my two post lifts as you raise them the satety latches click per catch. So while raising a vehicle if there is a malfuction the latches should theoretically stop at the
nearest catch. The system is hydraulic with a cable release system. When the cable on my lift broke I just took the cover off the non lever side, raised the vehicle off its catches, manually released the safety catch and let the vehicle down. Ordered a new cable and replaced.

We got the new engine installed and started. So far so good. Ran around the block a few times no leaks, good oil pressure, temp OK. Will detail engine compartment and wires before putting hood back on. The T-5 is great a little trouble down shifting to second but think it's a clutch adjustment. The power brakes work fine. Hope to show it off at next Sat. cruise night. Again thanks FTE guys and girls for your help.

Great! What did you end up with for headers, exhaust and muffler? Do you plan to do a Youtube video? Would be nice to hear it run.

Lookin' very nice! Yeah, let's hear it!

I'm curious why your alternator has that extension on the pulley; do all wide-belt alt's use that?

That looks like a purpose built alt.. my alternator sits back much further. needing only a regular pulley.

Let's here it run.

I will try and figure out how to do the Youtube thing. The idle with the L 100 cam has a nice lope. Red's headers and Smithy's mufflers. The alternator is setup for wide belts. I think I got the pully from Fifty Ave 785-632-3450 or Speedway. I have had it for sometime so not sure.

Here is lastest re-assembly picture, hopefully the final time.
Still a few bugs. Running dual Strombergs and Chrysler electronic ignition.
