shift?
I have a 72 F-100 4x 2 with a C-4 transmission (automatic). When starting from a stop it accelerates good in first gear then sometimes when continuing to accelerate the engine revs (sounds like I have put in neutral...but I havent). What is this and is there an easy fix?

Your tranny could be slipping. Check the fluid, and see if it smells burnt or maybe just low. If it is burnt of really discolored, it might help to change it. It could be the sign that the tranny is in need of a rebuild if it still slips.
