400 with D1 heads?

I have a truck that needs valve springs. I took the heads off, and the casting number starts with D1. This is in a 79 F-250, so I assume they have been swapped. How much more power can the 71 heads make over a 73+ head? I'm looking at: 400CID D1 heads edelbrock performer 400 .485/.510 218/224 on a 110 lsa cam edelbrock 600 carb

D1AE heads have the same ccv and valves as D3AE and D5AE.
Only thing I can think of is I heard some heads came flame hardened around the exhaust valve seats.

there is an advantage and disadvantage. Combustion chamber are different but nothing helpful. On the good side you probably don't have the port belly from the exhaust crossover which restricts a lot the exhaust ports starting on 73 I think.. on the negative side , if the fellow who installed those set of heads didn't install hardened seats to withstand unleaded fuel better never ran it lean, and those are prone to cracking...
