I was in the process of purchasing the Autoenginuity ST05 interface hardware/software when I was told by a rep at Autoenginuity that the ST05 was being outdated/replaced with the ST06 ProLine hardware and that the Ford software/hardware would be ready by the 15th of this month..........sooooo, if your looking to buy one, wait till the 15th.
My understanding is that the new interface won't benefit our trucks at all. Basically, right now, you need 2 different connectors depending on what vehicle you are reading. The new interface combines the 2 different types of connectors into one.
All in all, call Clay @ Riffraff Diesel. He'll get what you need
I talked to an AE rep almost a year ago and he told me the update would be ready very soon. He said "when the ST06 is listed on the site for the Ford bundle you know it's done".
Glad to hear they are still working on it. I've been watching and waiting to purchase.
I was thinking the ST06 just gives us more versatility or options for using the tool on other vehicles??? Anyone know
So how much is this enw ST06 adapter, Clay? Looks like it might be what I need to hook AE up to my son's VW Jetta TDI, so I may soon be in the market for one.

Are you just wanting the adapter or the enhanced software as well?

The adapter is what I am most interested in at the moment. My son still needs to review what he can do with teh enhanced software bundle versus purchasing a compelte Vagcom setup that does absolutely ALL OEM programming stuff on the VW's (I don;t think the AE options are quite as extensive, but I'll let Benjamin decide which software he wants to purchase since it will be for his vehicle.
