Cat converter problem

Cat converter problem
I had yet another check engine light come on today and took it to Autozone to get the code and the printout they gave me diagnosed it as a Cat converter problem. I don't have the exact code # in front of me right now. Has anyone else had this problem? Isn't it warrantied to 8 year/80k miles?

yeah my light has been on and i took it to advance auto parts, they said the same thing, i forgot the number too, but its something to do with the cat converter, or they said it could be a small vaccum leak. they said the cat converter could be broken on the inside, and excess exhaust is getting back into engine. my truck still runs great. what should we do? i guess buy a new catalytic converter

Never listen to advanced auto. they're certified to sell you parts, not diagnose your car! Take it to a real mechanic. Cat efficiency code?? Then yes, needs a cat. otherwise, it's going to need some diagnosing....
