02 escape

02 escape
Have 02 escape starts fine everyday if it sits for half hour or so it cranks strong but doesnt catch for awhile,did notice if you push gas pedal it starts ok.It only does this after you shut it off and go into store etc. for half to 45 mins ,if you are in there for hour and a half it starts fine.Replaced gas filter and iac. Any ideas out there ?

Bill - are you thinking that the PCM is getting the incorrect reading from one of the above? Then not properly compensating for the correct temp during his restart?

Yes and the only way to check this is with a scanner looking at those PIDs.

.Also just cleaned maf sensor and throttle body.It just does this once and awhile other wise runs and drives like new ,vac hoses ok,no manifold leaks 79,000k 3.0 v6

There was a owner that had a vacuum leak from the lower gaskets that only acted up when cold. Yours might be a similiar issue.
Try spraying some "Quik Start" around the gasket areas to see if your idle changes.
