For a plow rig I want to build one with a pair of Dana 60 steering axles.
When traction becomes a problem, chain up all four wheels, limited slip in both axles, traction is not a problem for long.
Four wheel steering would be nice in some of those banks and doctor's office lots we do.
As for the rig in the link, with that much surace area, the ground pressure would be low.
With those rubber tracks, the traction will be less than you think.
We have a mini excavator with rubber tracks.
A trip around a hill with snow or ice on it can be very interesting, wear your seat belt and hold onto the bar until the ride comes to a complete stop.
Sand or mud, those tracks might be an advantage.
