New Injectors?

I am getting ready to replace all injectors, I have at least 3 that are visibly leaking, so I am going to replace all along with a return line kit. 1987 with 6.9 and Banks Sidewinder with 177,000 and what appears to be original injectors and pump. Will I notice increased performance when I replace the injectors, or just wishful thinking? Thanks for you info.

you will see a big improvement.but you could also and more than likely be buying a new ip not long after the new injectors.new injectors are pretty hard on a higher mileage ip.being as injectors and ip are both wear items i would look into replacing both if the funds are available.the ip might be ok but chances are the new injectors will kill it sooner than later

When you remove the injectors, look for wet tips on the old ones.
That means they were leaking off.

You should see a little more power and better fuel mileage, but don't be expecting 50 or 60 HP and a 10 MPG increase.

And the IP, well it is due as well.
How long it lives with the new injectors is only a guess, could be 100 miles, could be 10 years.
