20 - 21 psi of boost sounds fine for a stock truck with a chip. This tells me there's enough fuel and the turbo isn't leaking in or out.
???
You can't really get too high of EGT's with stock injectors, so how high is too high?
excessive EGTs accompanied by smoke and poor running would indicate to me a possible weak HPOP. i would get a scanner on it and check out the ICP pressure @ WOT and the IPR duty cycle%. the ICP shouldn't drop below about 2500psi and i would say no more than about 50% duty cycle? i haven't messed with IPR duty cycle much so i can't remember the exact point where its getting bad, but if its in the 60's its pretty bad.
i would also like to know how high the EGTs are like Jim. when i had my stock injectors i couldn't get the EGTs to go past 1000* and i tried to get it over that with no success.
generally speaking, high egt's mean its getting plenty of fuel. Does it smoke? I'm thinking like Muktown, bad chip.

yes, I meant ICP sensor.
Low Oil pressure will mean a bad fuel dispersal (spray)
which will lead to Higher EGT's and smoke. So, even if you are getting plenty of fuel, the spray is important.
With stock injectors on my truck I could hit 1200 easy, without the chip.
I don't remember if i had the ICP mod hooked up. I had disabled it because the injectors rattled to loud with it hooked up.

I also could hit 1250 easy with stock injectors and the chip, AND not to much smoke.

You should be able to with a chip.
I was hitting 1200 with out a chip.
Sorry if I understood bad, but I read what is in blue color, and in the second part he didnt mention: no chip. so please excuseme.
Any way I could be able to hit 1200+ WITH AND WITHOUT CHIP and STOCK INJECTORS.
Well my brother in law and I hooked up our equipment trailer and put our small old bobcat on it. the trailer weighs 5500 and the bobcat weighs (my estimate) 3500. So we were pulling roughly 9k. Well his truck pulls great. In his stock setting I would say it pulls just as well as mine, if not better. Empty the truck will kill my truck in a drag race, even on the stock setting. Some of that has to do with my truck needing syncro's in second and third. I kept a close eye on the egt gauge too. I had my foot in it for quite a while sometimes and the highest I saw was 1200. The only thing i was surprised about, is that it wont pick up speed in OD. Like if I have my foot in it getting on a on-ramp. It will reach 65 with ease, but as soon as it shifts into OD, it takes forever to even gain a couple mph. So not sure what that is about. It does have 4.10 gears. I told him 65 is fast enough for pulling trailers. So he was much happier after we were done.
I did learn a few things though.
1. I want a CC even worse now! The thing actually turns sharper than my truck!!!!!
2.The auto does better than I thought. It is built and about kicks you in the butt every time it shifts. So if I ever am looking for a new truck and a low mileage auto pops up, I may be tempted.
3. I dont believe the "stock" setting on a chip is truly a 'Stock" setting.
4. Open exhaust is too loud for me.
