Update on leaky injector

Good news,I think..I pulled the injector out, could not find any evidence of a copper washer in the hole,[is their a trick to that?] so I put the injector back in and the leak was gone.I still have a start problem when the engine is hot,Cold it will fire the first few turns, after it gets good and warm it wont start and the fuel filter is almost empty.Maybe air in the fuel system?

That is backwards does it run good can you hold it at full throttle in high gear for a little ways without it missing.

ooh as far as the fuel filter not being full thats air intrusion.heres the bad news the not wanting to start when warm is a good indicator your IP is going bad

Sounds like time to replace the return lines and O rings at each injector.

Air is leaking in letting the fuel return to the tank from the fuel filter.
Usually that problem is worse when the engine has been sitting a while.

maybe the heat from the motor is expanding the lines and the clamps are loosing their clamping pressure?

It sat for about 6 weeks while I saved $$ for a new IP, then it turned off cold[for here anyway] what is that doohickey on the fuel filter bracket that looks like an air valve sticking out?

thats the schraeder valve you can test your fuel pressure there if you depress the needle in there while running or cranking it will(should) spit out a good majority of fuel

Another place air can get in your system. I always cap mine in case that valve leaks.

if air is leaking in doesnt mean fuel will leak out.air is thinner than fuel so if its not air tight it could be letting air in.

Rick it can leak air with out leaking fuel air moleculesare smaller the reason an air leak is hard to pinpoint sometimes.
