Down sizing tire size?
My oldest daughter has a 02 Explorer; with 16" wheels; came across a great deal on some 15" wheel & tires from a Mountainer. So was wondering if the
15" wheels from a MM will clear the brake caliber's on the 02 Explorer?

What year was the Mountaineer? Just to be sure of the fit, you may need to go to the seller and borrow a wheel and do a test fit on the Explorer while you're there. Bolt it down and spin it to see if it clears the caliper.

Thanks Stan; I havn't done that yet; I guess the best bet is to that your advice alittle further and drive the Explorer to the yard and just pull one wheel from the MM and see how the clearance is on the explorer.
I seen / hear people going from a 15 to a 16; but clearnace is a big question when changing downwards.
