The X is getting torn down this weekend. EGR delete and oil cooler rebuild. What sucks is looks like my EGR kit won't be here til Monday or Tuesday if the E-bay dude doesn't ship it soon. Will be busy cleaning intake and turbo also. Beer is our friend.

I was going to have to make sure it was together by next week for work. But now I am watching a friends cat and car, so I have a ride to work for 2 weeks. Good thing, my EGR delete won't be here in time for this weekend now. As a matter of fact, it still hasn't been shipped !!!
I am going to look into tearing the turbo apart while its off, but never been inside one. Easy to screw up? Turbo was done in July of 07. May take the intake and get it hot tanked vice doing it by hand now also.
I HAVE to get the right side valve cover to seal right. Its been a pain since i had the injector done in August.

Man I did a victory dance when I got that turbo out of there !! Down to oil cooler is loose and extra oil that came out cleaned up. Really wish I had a new HPOP and my exhaust while it is down this far. Not something I want to do again soon. But I WON LOL
Turbo was by far the worst part. Bolt number 3 did win that small battle.
Only up pipe left for disassembly.
Why do things only break in the winter??

I feel ya. Took me 3 hours hunting and looking on here and more hunting. The manual I had printed out was for an 05. The bolt is vertical in the pic there. I was was looking in all the wrong places, and still fond no love.
All i have left for tear down is the up pipe. My delete kit should be here tomorrow but I got classes Wed and Thurs nights and daughter had gym meet Friday. Hope Saturday is warm out.
