they are for my 351. I cant find any gt-40s up here in vancouver, so i found a buddy who has a set hi po 69 heads. they are far better than the heads I have on my truck now. 60cc chamber vs 67-70cc on my e5 heads and bigger valves. I was just worried about maybe these older heads were only usable on the first generation 351 with the shorter deck height.
Both pressed in studs and pedistal mounted rockers are more than capable of dealing with the relatively mild stock valve springs and camshafts. It's only when you get into high lift cams with stiffer springs and you start reving the motor beyond 5000rpm that screw in studs become necessary.
I have the HO cam which i suppose is more higher lift than most others
