'04 F250 Diff ID?
'04 Diesel F250 4wd (not a dually). Am I correct that it has a Dana 60 in front and a Sterling 10.25 in the rear? I'm looking at some replacement diff covers that have drain plugs.

The Mag Hytec covers are popular but they're a little on the $pendy $ide.

A great alternative is the 2008+ aluminum rear cover. Lots of folks on here have installed them.

I guess I'm looking for a set that are less pricey than the Mag's... but would really like to have a drain plug. Looks like the '08 OEM version is plug-less.

You have the Sterling 10.5 out back but many of the 10.25 parts will work on it.

Pulling the cover off to drain the fluid does a better job than using a drain plug. There are little sump like pockets at the bottom of the diff housing that should be cleaned out and you can't do that with the cover on.

It's the same axle housing with different internals, that's why all gear kits are interchangeable between the two 'different' axles.
